Following up on the previous week's discussion from MY Yangon Guide about why ladies should go out on Ladies Night, we will now continue by explaining why Ladies Night is typically held on a Wednesday night.
To put it simply, Ladies Night originated as a Business Strategy devised by business-minded individuals.
Conceptually, bars and clubs are busiest and most crowded on nights like Friday and Saturday. On those nights, they don't need to run any promotions because guests will come anyway. Mid-week days like Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are not as busy as Friday and Saturday nights. Among these quieter days, Wednesday night is chosen for Ladies Night.
Wednesday is the mid-week point, and people naturally want to relieve their stress before the weekend arrives. Therefore, if they choose a day to gather with friends during the work week for a casual and light "chill session," Wednesday is considered the most suitable day.
From a business perspective, bars calculate that by attracting female customers, they will automatically attract male customers. This is how Ladies Night became popular worldwide—as a system that primarily attracts women on a mid-week night to indirectly gain profit from male customers.
