Topic: Let's Cooperate to Prevent Pests and Diseases
The Department of Agriculture (DoA) and the Myanmar Fruit, Flower and Vegetable Producer and Exporter Association (MFVP) are jointly organizing the first installment of the "Safe Food from Safe Farm" discussion series.
The discussion will be held on November 23, 2025, at the DoA Training Hall located on Myepadethar Island, Kandawgyi, Yangon. The event was announced on the Myanmar Fruit, Flower and Vegetable Producer and Exporter Association's Facebook page.
The discussion, titled "Let's Cooperate to Prevent Pests and Diseases," will cover the common pests and diseases that occur from the farming stage right up to when the food reaches the consumer, along with methods for prevention and protection.

Attendance: Anyone interested is invited to attend either in person or online.
Special Service for Farmers:
A special service will be provided where farmers who bring a diseased plant specimen (non-conventional or unidentified pests/diseases) properly secured in an icebox will have the plant examined by the experts for diagnosis. If necessary, the specimens will be sent to a laboratory for further analysis.
