Contemporary Art Special Talk Session for Youth

Contemporary Art Special Talk Session for Youth

Contemporary art refers to artworks created in the present day. It is not limited to drawing, painting, or sculpture, but also includes newer forms such as video art, installation, performance, and digital art. One of the key characteristics of contemporary art is that it expresses today’s ideas and reflects modern society, culture, technology, and everyday life. In fact, contemporary art is not something overly difficult or complicated—it can be enjoyable and inspiring to experience.

It would be wonderful for today’s youth and children to have an understanding of contemporary art. For this reason, MY Yangon would like to share a special talk session led by U Aung Myat Htay, the curator of the current exhibition at Gallery Ohmar, who will explain and discuss contemporary art in an easy and engaging way.

This session is intended for children under the age of 16. It is a free session, and any interested participants (under 16) are welcome to join and learn. Parents/guardians are also welcome to accompany the children free of charge.
